Large Russian peasant cloth doll. She is 27" tall with a cloth body and painted papermache' face. Her facial paint is very vibrant with deep blue eyes and highly blushed cheeks. She has a glued on wig made from raffia that is just spectacular.

She comes dressed in a typical Russian peasant costume. White cotton blouse with vibrant colors and embroidered embellishments, red burlap(?) skirt with attached straps accented with brightly colored ribbon trim along the hem, heavy slip with embroidered hem, bright blue apron accented with brilliantly colored embroidered ribbon, handknit shoes with yarn ties, and on her head a large print red and white babushka. Around her neck is a strand of pink, red, and green beads. She is a fantastic doll and in mint condition.
