Original Chatty Cathy red velvet headband with machine snap is described on page 15 of Kathy Lewis' Chatty Cathy book. It was worn with the red pinafore style dress with the white flocked nylon apron which was one of the first Chatty Cathy outfits offered by Mattel. It is pictured on a MIB Chatty Cathy on page 18.
