Doll Collectors Manual is a hard cover out of print
that was compiled by the Doll Collectors of America, Inc. They have the distinction of being one of the first group
of collectors to form an association dedicated to the study and preservation of early dolls. Over the years, this organization
has published many books by dedicated and knowledgeable researchers. this is a complilation of specially written, unpublished
articles, many written by well-known authorites and collectors.
The range of coverage in this book encompasses dolls made of wood, wax, porcelain, bisque, papier-mache', composition, and cloth. Dolls made
in France, Germany, Italy, China, the United States, and other parts of the world are also included here, with such well-known
doll makers as Simon & Halbig, Armand Marseille, Jumeau, Bru, Lenci, Schoenhut, and other notable producers predominating.
Included, too, are sections on early dolls' houses and their miniature furniture.
