The "Swan Princess" is the story of "Elise" from the
fairytale The Wild Swans. Poor Elise is the victim of yet another wicked stepmother/queen who married her father,
the King, after his good wife died. Elise was banished to a woodcutter's cottage in the forest, and her unfortunate
11 prince brothers were enchanted into becoming young men by night and swans by day. A kind fairy told Elise that she
could reverse the spell by stomping out burning nettle into a flax-like material, spinning it, and then knitting it
into sweaters for her brothers. When the sweaters were put on, the spell would be broken. This burning nettle only
grew at the mouth of forsaken cave in the wilderness, and also in the graveyard, and furthermore Elise could not speak
all the while she labored at this task. If you want to know the rest of the story, you'll have to buy the doll.
