Mary Ellen Playmate was manufactured by the Madame Alexander Doll Company of New York in 1965 only. She was made exclusively for Marshall Fields and is extremely difficult to find. She is 14" tall with vinyl arms, legs, and head on a cloth body. She has black pupiless eyes with perfect lashes, beautiful facial coloring with blushed cheeks, and rooted blonde hair still in the original factory set. She has a working mama cryer.

She comes dressed in her original tagged outfit. A red and white polkadot dress with large white collar accented with a white ribbon bow. Underneath a white flannel diaper and white knit booties with red ribbon bows. On her head she wears a white hat with headband and bow that matches the dress. She has her original hangtag.

She is in fabulous condition, in all original clothing, with original wrist tag, still in her original box. This is an extremely rare doll, seldom seen for sale.
