Muffy The Little Peddler Doll, #5252, was manufactured by The North American Bear Company® and was first offered in 1997 and is a convention release. It is a limited edition Disney exclusive, is retired, and is no longer available.

This particular piece is #1,460 of 5,000. “Muffy the Little Peddler Doll: Twelve Days of Christmas” is designed exclusively to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Teddy Bear and Doll Convention in 1997. It has six little pink, blue and yellow orange resin ducks which go in the basket Muffy is carrying. The hangtag is attached to the side of the box. Muffy is wearing little duck shoes.

Originally from England, Peddler Dolls have decorated warmly lit mantelpieces since the early 1820’s, when peddlers sold their wares along cobblestone streets or from tiny stalls. Often given as Christmas gifts these fascinating conversation pieces traditionally carried little trinkets or empty baskets waiting to be filled. Dressed as an historical Peddler Doll, Muffy bears tokens of each of the “Twelve Days of Christmas: in this numbered edition. The picture listed does not do this little bear justice, it is a beautiful and very detailed piece. Muffy the Little Peddler Doll’s backtag also has the hand numbering along with a certificate of authenticity. The picture listed is the bear you will be getting. I believe this piece is mint in box (box is in excellent condition). This piece is retired and is no longer available in retail stores. It is extremely difficult to obtain. This item is brand new in package and comes complete.
