Whiting & Davis is one of the oldest costume jewelers in the U.S. started as a chain company owned in by William Wade and Edward P. Davis. Throughout the 20th century they produced costume jewelry, the most popular besides the mesh necklaces, being their huge bangles and fabulous cameos reproduced from antique designs.

Vintage Etruscan-style Cross designed by Whiting & Davis. This stunning silver cross is very detailed and measures 19" long including the cross. The silver chain is 30" with sturdy spring ring clasp and the cross is 3 1/2" long and 2 12" wide with 1/2" cross bars. The silver cross has an elaborate gold applied flower and leaf decoration that is simply stunning. The original metal Whiting-Davis oval tag is near the ring clasp. This cross and chain comes with an original Whiting & Davis box.
