Italian Barbie, #1602, was manufactured by Mattel and first offered in 1979 and is the first edition. Italian Barbie looks perfectly patriotic in this delightedly colorful ensemble. Her red, white, and green skirt match the colors of her nations flag. A blue apron with white fringe adds an extra dash of color, as do her red shoes. Rounding out this wonderful ensemble are a matching straw hat and purse, laced peasant shoes, and flowers.

The doll was purchased new by an adult collector and is fabulous condition. The original price tag, from Gimbel's, is still attached to the end flap of the box. The doll is NRFB.
