Rockport is considered a pioneer in the footwear market. Founded in 1971 by Saul and Bruce Katz, Rockport was the first company to incorporate advanced materials and technologies into their traditional shoe products. Rockport received another award from the APMA in 1989 for a woman’s dress shoe, the Walking Pump, which combined the comfort of a walking shoe with the traditional woman’s pump. Rockport work shoes are designed specifically with comfort and the demands of the workplace in mind.

Woman's Walking Pumps, style #W63021, manufactured by Rockport. The pumps have enlarged toe boxes and broader heels, which is 2 1/2". A breathable fabric lining keeps feet dry, and a flexible rubber sole lends comfort. Shockproof foam padding cushions feet and stays resilient even after prolonged use. They are made in Italy of a soft taupe kidskin leather and are marked as irregulars. I find no defects with them and the leather is supple and free of marks or scuffs. They are brand new, are a size 9, and retail at about $100.
