Rapunzel was sculpted by Dianna Effner in 1992 as an exclusive edition for the Edwin M. Knowles China Company. She is part of the Heroines of the Fairy Tale Forest series and is a limited edition. She is 15" tall with porcelain arms, legs, and head on a cloth body with wired armatures for poseability. Her features are handpainted, she has handset glass eyes, and applied long blonde wig.

She comes dressed in her original costume complete with her hairbrush. Her hairbrush is still encased in the original packaging. She has been removed from the box only to photograph and still has the original protective wrapping around her legs and arms. She comes with her wrist tag, Certificate of Authenticity, as well as the original brochure describing the doll and the artist.
