The American writer Howard R. Garis (1872-1961) created
the character "Uncle Wiggily Longears" for a children's book in 1910. This wonderful character was created as a cloth
doll and manufactured by Georgene in the 40's.
Uncle Wiggily is 18" tall and made of cloth.
He has black metal eyes and a mask face with painted features. He has long floppy ears, oversized feet, and a moveable head. This doll
would be a good restoration project. His painted features have faded and need repainting. His body has no rips, tears,
or repairs and no staining.
