Nancy Ann Storybook dolls were one of the main line and most popular which were named after nursery rhymes and jingles. The dolls were marketed to little girls, but, it is obvious today that they had appeal to the mothers as well! The plastic Storybook dolls were first produced in the 50's. This doll was purchased from the original owner. Her mother never took it out of the original box and displayed it in it's original box in a glass cabinet.

Goose Girl, #169, is from the Nursery Rhyme Series. She is 5 1/2" tall, is strung, and made of hard plastic. She has blue sleep eyes that work perfectly, painted rosebud mouth, and blonde hair that is still in the original factory set styled in braids tied with brown bows. She has black painted slippers on her feet.

She comes dressed in her original black floral print gown accented with green velvet trim. Around her waist is an organdy apron trimmed in white lace tying around the waist with a green velvet tie. The organdy of the apron as aged a bit, but still looks great. The sleeves of her gown are trimmed in white lace which matches the apron as well as the organdy hat on her head. Underneath is a white tulle slip trimmed in white lace. The clothing is crispy mint exactly as it came from the factory and has never been removed from the doll's body.

She comes in her original red polkadot box with matching lid which is in fabulous condition with no rips or loss of graphics and comes with the original cardboard brace. The original silver label is still on the end of the box which reads "NURSERY RHYME SERIES/Goose Girl/169".
