Nancy Ann Storybook dolls were one of the main line and most popular which were named after nursery rhymes and jingles. The dolls were marketed to little girls, but, it is obvious today that they had appeal to the mothers as well! The plastic Storybook dolls were first produced in the 50's. This doll was purchased from the original owner. Her mother never took it out of the original box and displayed it in it's original box in a glass cabinet.

A Flower Girl for May, #191, is 5 1/2" tall, is strung, and made of hard plastic. She has blue sleep eyes that work perfectly, painted rosebud mouth, and red hair that is still in the original factory set. She has black painted slippers on her feet.

She comes dressed in her original white taffeta gown trimmed in lace topped with an organdy overskirt (aged a bit) with white lace trim. The sleeves of the gown are trimmed in matching lace and a white velvet waist sash encircles her waist. On her head she wears a blue felt hat with blue velvet head band accented with a single white pearl. The clothing is crispy mint exactly as it came from the factory. She has her original gold wrist tag on her arm.

She comes in her original blue polkadot box with matching lid which is in fabulous condition with no rips or loss of graphics and comes with the original cardboard brace. The original cardboard brace is still inside the box holding the doll in place. The original silver foil label is still on the end of the box which reads "DOLLS OF THE MONTH SERIES/A Flower Girl for May/191".
