Sleepyhead was manufactured by The Knickerbocker Toy Company in the late 50's. They are 15" tall with a vinylite plastic face and stuffed plush pink body. The Knickerbocker "Sleepy Head" doll is featured in the Baby Boomer Dolls Reference Guide, by Michele Karl, on page 98. Bessie Pease Gutman used a classic doll just like this as her model for her famous painting "Two Sleepy Heads".

Sleepyhead #1 (left) has blonde yarn hair peeking out of each side of her face and her forehead. The facial paint is intact and still vibrant. She has a pink plush body that could use a cleaning, but otherwise is in fairly good condition. Her tag is still sewn on the front of her body which reads:
