"The Doll With The Magic Wand" is a fairy tale that was written by Mary Hoyer for her granddaughter when she was a child. This series was first introduced in 1990 and was completed in December of 1997. This series of dolls featured seven characters. Each storybook character in the Mary Hoyer Collection was produced in a limited edition of 2,000. The first doll, The Doll With The Magic Wand, was accompanied by a wonderfully illustrated first edition hard-bound copy of Mary Hoyer's fairy tale. Subsequent character dolls in the Mary Hoyer Collection include: Princess Tyrina, Bogie the Servant Boy (her friend), his father Peblo, the majestic King and Queen, and Mandy (the handservent). All of the dolls in this collection were dressed in costumes of intricate detail, designed by Mary Hoyer herself.

The Majestic Queen manufactured by The Mary Hoyer Doll Company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is part of The Doll With The Magic Wand series that was first issued in 1990. The queen is the rarest of all the dolls to aquire, since the edition was never finished. She is 13 1/2" tall and made of jointed hard vinyl. She has painted features, beautiful facial coloring, and applied blonde wig still in the original set. She is numbered on her neck and foot.

She comes dressed in her original luxurious purple velvet gown white irridescent gold sleeves and a gold braid belt around her waist. On her head, she wears a matching purple velvet hat with ruffled gold fabric that matches the sleeves of her gown.

The Majestic Queen, from The Doll With The Magic Wand series, is in fabulous condition and comes in her original box with certificate of authenticity. She is #318 in the edition and the hardest of all the dolls in this series to find since this edition was never completed. She would make a wonderful addition to any doll collection.
