Guanjin Goddess Figurines imported from Hong Kong and marked "WAI MING H.K.". These pieces are of a type called "Blanc-de-Chine". They stand 12" tall and are probably made of Jingdezhen clay from South China. They are intricately made with great detail to the Lotus flowers in their hands as well as the fingers. The flower leafs are of a lotus referring to Buddhism where the Lotus has an important symbolic role as the container of all wisdom. They are from the late 20th century.

They two fabulous figures are in wonderful condition with the exception of the fingers missing on the right hand of the figure on the right and some fingertips missing on the left hand of the figure on the right. I didn't even notice this until I inspected the piece quite closely. Because of this damage, they are priced accordingly.
