,
Stock #5550-6, was manufactured by Department56 and is from the Dicken's Village Series. It was introduced 1989 and
retired 1992.
This cottage is the home of David Copperfield's aunt, Betsy Trotwood. This was based on a cottage in Broadstairs,
England that was refurbished into the Dickens Museum. This piece is 1 of the 3-piece set called "David Copperfield". The
other two pieces are called "Peggotty's Seaside Cottage" & "Solicitor (Mr. Wickfield)." The companion figures are called "David
Copperfield Characters" and are all available in separate listings. This piece is lighted from the back with a small night
light-type bulb with a cord that has an on/off switch that is missing.
Betsy Trotwood's Cottage, #5550-6, comes in it's original strofoam box with original sleeve (shows some shelf wear)
It has no cracks, chips, hairlines, or repairs and would make a nice addition to any collection.
