Stockinette Peasant Woman circa 1930's. She is 17" long (10" seated) with stockinette face and arms on a cloth stuffed body. She has wires in her arms and legs so that she can be posed in many positions. Her face has stitching to create the features and is then colored on the lips, cheeks, and nose to give it definition. White mohair is used for the eyebrows and hair.

She comes dressed in her original clothing which consists of a burgundy felt skirt (no holes), a red plaid apron trimmed in red felt, an ecru top, and blue patterned headscarf. Her red and white striped socks are actually part of her body and her attached shoes are black felt with brown felt soles. In her hand she carries two felt flowers with wire stems attached to her hand. She is in wonderful condition with no rips, tears, stains, or repairs and would make a nice addition to any collection.
